Iranian ‘Passengers’ honored in Belgium

Belgium’s Millennium International Documentary Film Festival has honored Iranian director Mahmoud Rahmani’s documentary ‘Passengers’. 

The 9th edition of the documentary festival honored Rahmani’s documentary in the Young Vision section of the festival granting it 3,000 pounds (about USD 3,727) prize.  

‘Passenger’ documents the views and discussion of passengers from the film director’s hometown ‘Ahvaz’ while Rahmani drives them around as a taxi driver. The 78 minute film tries to depict a vision of the Iranian society.

Since its inception in 2009, the mission of the Millennium International Documentary Film Festival has been to screen documentary films that inspire to reflect and discover others.

The nineth edition of Millennium International Documentary Film Festival was organized from March 24 to April 2, 2017 in Brussels, Belgium.
